Green signal for investments worth Rs. 47,776 crores in Andhra Pradesh!
The Andhra Pradesh State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB) has approved 15 projects worth Rs. 44,776 crores, aimed at generating over 19,500 jobs. The projects, primarily in renewable energy and food processing, bring the total investments approved by SIPB in the last seven months to over Rs. 3 lakh crores. The state government continues to implement investment-friendly policies to attract large-scale investments and boost economic growth, particularly focusing on tourism projects and rapid approval processes.

The Andhra Pradesh State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB) approved 15 projects with investments totaling Rs. 44,776 crores on Thursday. This decision was made at the third SIPB meeting chaired by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. These projects are expected to create employment opportunities for 19,580 people. The approved projects mainly belong to the renewable energy and food processing sectors. With this, the total value of investments approved by SIPB in the last seven months has surpassed Rs. 3 lakh crores. The Chief Minister directed officials to ensure that these projects are grounded as soon as possible.

Over the last seven months, the state government has been implementing investment-friendly policies, resulting in significant investments flowing into the state. After the NDA government, led by the Telugu Desam Party, came to power, SIPB approved projects worth Rs. 3,10,925 crores. These projects are expected to generate 3,12,576 jobs. In the first SIPB meeting, investments of Rs. 83,987 crores were approved, and in the second meeting, investments worth Rs. 1,82,162 crores were approved. In the most recent meeting, the Chief Minister directed that companies making investments of Rs. 10 crores or more be granted permissions quickly.
The Chief Minister instructed the Chief Secretary, K. Vijay Anand, to conduct state-level review meetings. District collectors and government officials have been asked to hold reviews to monitor the progress of the projects. Additionally, a special convener will be appointed to address ground-level issues. The Chief Minister also suggested that officials provide special encouragement to tourism projects, aiming for at least a 20% growth in this sector.
