Intermediate Examinations Begin in Telangana

The Telangana Intermediate examinations have begun with over 9 lakh students participating. Exam centers have been set up across the state with strong security and surveillance in place. The first-year exams will run until March 19, and the second-year exams will begin on March 6. Strict rules are in place, including no entry without hall tickets and no electronic devices allowed inside the exam centers.

Hyderabad: Intermediate examinations have started across Telangana. There is a bustling atmosphere at the exam centers as students and their parents arrived by 8 AM. The exams will be held from 9 AM to 12 PM every day. The authorities are allowing students to enter the centers after thoroughly checking their hall tickets. Even students arriving five minutes after 9 AM are being allowed into the centers.

A total of 1,532 centers have been set up for the exams, including 49 self-centers. Over 9 lakh students are expected to attend the exams, with 4,97,528 boys and 4,99,443 girls. The OMR sheets will be distributed to the students between 8:45 AM and 9:00 AM. The first-year intermediate exams will take place from today until the 19th of March, while the second-year exams will begin on March 6th.

To ensure smooth exam conduct, smart surveillance will be set up in a control command center, with teams overseeing 45 exam centers. The police will maintain security, and Section 144 (BNS 163) will be enforced within 100 meters of the exam centers. Students will not be allowed to enter without a hall ticket, and any discrepancies on the hall tickets can be corrected by consulting the principals or other officials. The exam centers will not permit watches, cell phones, pages, calculators, or any other electronic devices and printed materials.
